"Exploring the city as a space of informational influence, the exhibition considers the collision of control and freedom, communication and manipulation, algorithms and chaos, and loneliness and collective experience. Through screens, cameras and digital maps, we simultaneously observe and become part of systems of surveillance.
Urban surfaces become archives of statements, including protests, propaganda, personal messages and collective memory. The traces of conflicts and wars are not only visible on physical structures, but also permanently transform human connections, habits and relationships. City Noise penetrates memory, the body and consciousness, shaping what we see, hear and feel.

Workshop and Book Sharing Robusta and The Vacuum Landscape
By harvesting the sensation of working-class Robusta coffee from Surabaya together, we address social movements and ongoing struggles in Asia, specifically Indonesia and Hong Kong. A time to decolonize plantation landscapes preserved in Dutch archives, collectively rethinking landscape aesthetics in relation to complex political histories.

Book Published by Casco Art Institute: Working for the Commons
Walking_The Vacuum Landscape investigates the construction of landscape not as a neutral geographical territory, but as a visual and epistemological system historically engineered by official archives, Western painting, and photography. This book wades into the fog of the present post-colonial landscape to exhume the missing roots buried in the (not-yet shared) land, addresses the archival silences with the ongoing realities of displacement obscured by post-colonialism.
The research is divided into two primary geographical and conceptual inquiries.
The first part of the book navigates the plantation landscapes of East Java, unfolding as a fictionalized self-reflection grounded in decolonial thought. The second part shifts to the urban terrain of Surabaya, documenting the city through contemporary walking practices as a feminist spatial methodology to navigate and reclaim areas dominated by remaining Dutch colonial architecture.
Moving alongside these texts, the landscape is presented photographically. By interweaving recent fieldwork photography with Dutch archives, the visual narrative traces the fractures in colonial terrain and confronts its archival silences. At its core, this book is a collective act of building inter-Asia solidarity for land-rights justice and social movements—a solidarity as fragile as moss, yet impossible to extinguish.

Archiving The Scene is a video series revisiting the protests in Hong Kong during 2019–2020 through archival press photographs. The work created a structure accessible to diverse audiences by adopting the rhythm of painting tutorial as it visual language. It unpacks the complexities of social movements, narrating contemporary political life through interdisciplinary research in visual art and journalism.

"Jember has been a plantation metropolis since colonial times. Coffee, rubber, tobacco, and cocoa have become ingrained in the minds of Jember residents, whether they have lived in plantation areas or not. More than just an economic function, the plantation landscape is a living archive of how the land is managed, who controls it, and how humans coexist with, or conflict with, nature and the massive production system.
"Speaking Landscape" is a major theme for Kalisat Tempo Dulu 10, which seeks to unpack the larger narratives embedded in this landscape. This program seeks to position the landscape itself as a central actor: vast tobacco fields, harvest distribution routes, remnants of colonial infrastructure, and even the morphological changes of villages due to land concessions."
